Download the latest firmware for your monitoring units. Directions to apply the update are included inside the file. Each update is a complete firmware image, so there's no need to apply multiple patches in succession to update your unit from an older version to the latest one; just download and install the most-current version.

If you are having trouble viewing images from a webcam on your WxGoos Series-I, WeatherGoose Series-II, or WatchDog-series monitoring unit, you may need to use a specific firmware version with that camera model.  Click on your camera's model number to download the correct firmware.  (Note that these camera firmwares are provided by the manufacturer, not ITWatchdogs by Geist; they are provided here solely for convenience.  If you have difficulty installing the firmware, please consult your camera's user manual, or contact the camera manufacturer's technical support for assistance.)

      WeatherGoose Series-II

current firmware version: v3.15.0 (released Feb. 19, 2015)

click here to view the change-log and download firmware for use with the following models:

      • WeatherGoose-II
      • MiniGoose-II
      • SuperGoose-II
      • MiniGoose/XP-II
      • RelayGoose-II
      • MicroGoose
      • RelayGoose-IIP
      • PowerGoose-II

Important Note: a "-2" in the device name, such as "WxGoos-2", does not make the unit a series-II device!  Series-II units are characterized by a Roman-numeral "-II" in the device name, and/or and the presence of an IP RESET pinhole either directly below the Ethernet jack, or on the side of the case.  (see example image above)  If your unit lacks these features, then it is a WxGoos Series-I unit; see below for the appropriate firmware.  It is not possible to install the series-II firmware onto a series-I unit.

    WeatherDuck

Application software for the WeatherDuck serial-port-based monitoring device.  Be sure to completely uninstall any previous versions of the WeatherDuck application before installing a new version.  Requires Windows 98 / 2000 / XP / Server 2003.

Note: This software is not compatible with any version of Windows beyond XP / Server 2003.

    WeatherDuck application software, v2.1.0

  • Watchdog Console
    Watchdog Console Aggregator

Application software to aggregate multiple monitoring units into a single display, and to store long-term logged data in an SQL database using either SQL CE (included with the installer) or SQL Express (must be installed separately by the user before installing Console).  The installer will automatically uninstall any previous versions, so no manual uninstallation is required.  Be sure to download the correct version ("Lite" or "Full"), as the installers are different, and one cannot be converted to the other simply by entering (or not entering) a license key.  Requires Windows XP / Server 2003 / Windows 7 / Server 2008, plus either SQL CE (incuded with the installer) or SQL Express 2005 / 2008.

Note: users are cautioned that this software is in "legacy" status, and has not been tested in a Windows 8 / Server 2012 environment, nor has it been tested against SQL Express 2012 or beyond.

WatchDog Console 3.2.2 (Mar. 21, 2014) - No longer available for download
(If you have an existing v2.x or v3.x Console license key, download this version.)

WatchDog Console Lite 3.2.2 (Mar. 21, 2014) - No longer available for download
(If you are using the free "Console Lite" version, or are simply downloading Console to evaluate it, download this version.)
