Logo Outlet Level Power Monitoring & Control Now Available With the RPM X2
ITWatchDogs has officially started to ship the Remote Power Manager X2 (RPM X2) accessory that adds outlet-level power monitoring and switching capabilities to any Series II Environmental Monitors. The add-on accessory presents real time logging and graphing of voltage, amperage, real power, apparent power, power factor and kilowatt-hour to provide trend analysis and power metrics for future planning.

The device enables users to set alarm thresholds for above mentioned measurements and remotely reboot locked systems or control system power via the secure user interface from anywhere in the world. The RPM X2 utilizes a digital sensor port on the Series II device to bring your power strips online.

Logo ITWatchDogs Adds Greater I/O Capabilities to Your Environmental Monitor
We are pleased to announce a new accessory product to our Series II Environmental Monitors. Available next month, the I/O Expander (IOE) will increase your monitor’s sensor and relay output capacity by adding 32 additional dry contact / 0—5VDC analog inputs, eight extra digital sensor ports and three NO/NC relay outputs.
The IOE is the first-of-its-kind smart accessory in the environmental monitoring industry offering 32 configurable analog inputs allowing users to monitor and set alarm thresholds for 0—5VDC signal and/or open or closed switches. The addition of three relay outputs enable users to trigger external devices like auto-dialers, strobe lights or back-up a/c units on alarm or manually through the web interface.

The IOE comes equipped with a lightweight and strong rack mount steel chassis providing flexible wire management and versatile bracket mounts. It connects to a digital sensor port of your environmental monitor using the provided uplink cable. The IOE offers a 'Plug and Play' setup and is powered by a 6VDC power adapter (included).

Only one IOE can be added to a single Series II device. The IOE pairs naturally with the MiniGoose II providing a cost-effective method for bringing your sensors online. The MiniGoose II mounts directly on the IOE chassis for added convenience.

At just $479, the IOE presents a powerful, flexible and economical solution for an added layer of monitoring, alarming, automation and control.

I/O Expander is compatible with the MiniGoose II, MiniGoose XP II, WeatherGoose II, SuperGoose II and RelayGoose II models.

Logo WatchDog 100 to Provide Low-Cost Environmental Monitoring with Relay Output Control
At ITWatchDogs, we are thrilled to announce our upcoming product offering of the WatchDog 100. Available by June 2011, this innovative self-contained unit will present a low-cost solution for environmental monitoring with an input capacity of eight external sensors and an output of one NO/NC relay contact for triggering external devices like an auto-dialer. The unit comes equipped with an on-board temperature sensor and optional built-in Power over Ethernet (PoE).

Like with all other ITWatchDogs environmental monitors, the WatchDog 100 allows users to keep an eye on remote conditions from a secure web interface and receive SNMP, E-mail, text message and voice call* alert notifications when user-adjustable thresholds are exceeded.

The web interface provides an overview of environmental measurements with real time sensor data. All measurements are logged allowing users to collect data for trending and capacity management. The WatchDog 100 offers flexible access rights and security settings with up to three access account levels. It offers secure access through the web and supports HTTP and HTTPS protocols. Up to 50 customizable alarms can be configured with alarm escalations per sensor.

The WatchDog 100 features four 0—5VDC / dry-contact analog inputs and one digital sensor port. Up to four additional digital sensors can be added using a standard splitter. A variety of optional plug-and-play sensors are available for use with the WatchDog 100 including but not limited to, temperature, humidity, airflow, water and smoke detection sensors, door position, power failure and more. One of the unique features of the WatchDog 100 is its relay contact port used to energize or de-energize an external device.

At just 1U high and approximately 1/2U wide, the WatchDog 100 is a compact solution perfect for tight installments. The WatchDog 100 is shipped with rack-mount brackets offering flexible wire management options.

Priced at just $279, the WatchDog 100 is the most cost-effective and reliable solution for monitoring environmental conditions in critical facilities including computer server rooms, network and telecom closets, traffic control boxes, laboratories and other areas requiring climate and power monitoring.

The WatchDog 100 carries the CE Mark for Low Voltage and Emissions Directives and FCC Part 15 Class A regulation.

Logo Latest Firmware Enhancements: Scaling of Analog Inputs
ITWatchDogs’ latest firmware release (v3.6.1) allows you to configure analog inputs by assigning a scale range to the 0—5VDC signal. Previous firmware generated a simple linear mapping of the 0-5VDC signal to 0-99 range and the user had to interpolate their sensor into the 0-99 range to set alarm thresholds.

With the new release, you can specify alarm thresholds and see sensor data in meaningful units. For example, if you have a pressure sensor that measures between 1000-2000 PSI, you can specify 1000-2000 range on the 0-5VDC analog input port that the sensor is connected to. If you want an alarm set at 1500 PSI for example, simply set the alarm at 1500. Real values are presented in data logs, graphs and alarm emails. Real values are also presented via SNMP in integer format.

Latest firmware updates for all ITWatchDogs environment monitors are available for download here.

ITWatchDogs values the on-going relationship with our customers.
